I stole this image from Bansky's website; I find it interesting that a graffiti artist can be so revered that his work is left alone, instead of painted over, for four years straight. And the person who defaces the graffiti is the one who faces criminal charges. Bansky is one of those artists that is unique because he has a place on the street as well as in the museum, despite the fact that he makes fun of both domains. Not to mention that his name and his work float around for all to see, while he hides his face and shies away from personal publicity; fascinating.
