I was recently introduced to the work of an illustrator by the name of Diana Sudyka. This Chicago based artist makes concert posters for indie rock bands like Crowded House and the Decembersits; she even designed a tattoo for the lead singer of the Decembersits. Her aesthetic reminds me of both Japanese wood block prints and a little bit of Edward Gorey. This combination of styles seems appropriate for October; slightly dark yet whimsical. Here's some of her work.
