Sigh...

I have not heard anything final from LUX yet. I realized today that I haven't posted anything since the day of my trial run, but that's mostly because things have been a little crazy lately. I was assured that this is also why it may take awhile for LUX to reach a decision; the few people who actually run the place are consumed in holiday events and such just as we all are, so they said it may be a couple of weeks. All I can say is that I'm hopeful because my trial day was amazing. I spent the day researching artists and galleries and writing about the comparisons between the next artist to take up residence at the institute and historical movements and styles. Yes, I was in academic heaven. Everyone I spoke to that day mentioned how happy I sounded, and this is when I realized how badly I need to move into the art world and out of Toyota. If it was evident before it is looming over me now, and I feel more frustrated than ever because I am truly pushing myself to reach that very goal, but all my efforts have been fruitless thus far. Aside from that? I've been inspired by the season and have been baking a little. Bellow you will see my home made apple pie and an apple cobbler. The cobbler didn't turn out as I had expected it to because we didn't have baking soda and I tried a substitute that didn't quite work. It did actually taste good though, it was just a little heavy; if nothing else, it looked pretty.
