Syracuse University commissioned a sculpture to commemorate Ernie Davis, the first African-American to win the Heisman Trophy. However, there is one glaring problem with the sculpture. Ernie's shoes are emblazoned with Nike swooshes; the swoosh didn't become a logo until 1971, Ernie died of Leukemia in 1963. The full story can be found here on yahoo news.
