It is always exciting when art that was thought to be gone forever is found, but this story seems like a small miracle. While digging to lay a new subway line in Berlin, eleven bronze and terracotta sculptures were discovered in an abandoned basement. They are all works of art deemed "deviant" by Hitler, and had been assumed to be destroyed decades ago. The sculptures will be viewed by the public for the first time since 1937 in a special exhibit at Berlin's Neues Museum, set to open tomorrow.
