Highlights from the De Young Museum
Yes, I went on vacation and actually got to see art! I know! Isn't it astounding? One of the museums my sister and I went to was the De Young Museum in San Francisco. Here are some of the highlights from what we saw.
The African masks were really interesting to me.
This was particularly interesting as well; it's a coffin designed to look like a cocoa pod.
This cathedral, by Al Farrow 'The Spine and Tooth of Santo Guerro', is made of deconstructed guns, bullets, and steel shot.
This stack of books and cigarette paraphernalia is all ceramic with glaze.
I really liked this one, George Washington was made entirely of stitched together dollar bills.
