Cahuilla Petroglyphs

Continually in the homework mode, even during this brief break from classes, my mom and I took a walk into the County Park to gather photos for my geology project. After taking the necessary shots we continued into the park and ended up stopping to admire the resident petroglyphs; estimated to be around 600 years old, these petroglyphs are one of Idyllwild's hidden treasures. I suppose what's spectacular about them is the access that I have always taken for granted. Down the street from my house, I have passed by them my whole life; walking the dog, bike riding, or just out enjoying the day. So here it is, some of the history that resides in my back yard.
