Get Me to Mexico!

In Mexico City the centennial of Frida Kahlo's birth is being celebrated with the most extensive retrospective of her work yet. I wish I had the luxury to fly in just for the show and I would love nothing more than to peruse the canvases created by Kahlo's hand. However, I have been forced to live vicariously through the New York Times who reports that the exhibit contains 354 pieces by the artist. I had no idea her body of work was so extensive; in general there are a few popular paintings that receive abundant accolades, but to consider 354 pieces a fragment of an artist's work astounds me. Oh how I wish an anonymous donor would fly me in to see this exhibit. Until then, here are some images I stole from The Times website.
