"For most of history, anonymous was a woman." - Virginia Woolf

There was a time where women were discouraged from becoming artists and those that did work in the arts were often ignored; museum galleries, especially classically curated museums, are still primarily filled with work by male artists. Women are getting out into the art world though, and many of them are incredibly inspirational and talented. Buzzfeed recently took the time to interview twenty of them and posted an article called '20 Pieces of Advice for Female Artists,' which can be found here. I love that Buzzfeed took the time to do this, and hopefully inspire some future and current female artists. Many of the artists they spoke to are new to me, so I thought I would highlight a few of them for you.
